I don't think it gets a whole lot better than this! I've been an avid fat-biker for a decade (since a teen) when my old Icecream Truck (Ironhorse Porter) was getting old and c***ping out. I looked online and in store at every single fatbike option out there, your Treks, Norcos, Giants etc. But after taking my time to carefully decide on which bike I wanted, nothing quite caught my eyes like this one. It stuck out like a sore thumb, so I had to pull the trigger with it being on sale at the time. And I must say, after owning and playing with this toy since January, I am very much satisfied and content with my decision, it was exactly the jump I needed. It is incredibly light compared to my old bike (Steel frame, older parts) especially when you consider the Carbon Fiber fork, which is a very nice addition and adds some "oomph" to make it stand out from the rest of the fatbikes. The black and gold trim is incredibly good looking from every angle. I only had to make a few adjustments to make it more comfortable and 'mine'. I'm a taller guy (6') and purchased a large frame, while the frame is perfectly sized, I found I was putting too much pressure on my wrists when riding and that the handlebars are a little too low. I purchased a neck extension off Amazon which took away that problem and it's a much better ride. I also found that there was a small spacer in the neck itself which snapped/broke at one point and I'll definitely need to replace it as now there is a good amount of play in the neck when hitting the front brakes. I also switched from tubed to tubeless, and this definitely made that switch/learning curve relatively easy. The snow tires are definitely great for winter, a little less ideal for summer but they definitely get the job done. Other than these minor inconveniences, this bike is an absolute beast, and while I've already ran some 30ks, I look forward to the journeys this thing will take me on. If you're troubled deciding on a fatbike, I'd look no further. Have fun and ride safe 🤟🏽
